Reporter just reached oklandloaded that The people of Kogi Central Senatorial district may soon be experiencing a
reprieve from the worrisome state of the roads, and the strange poor
power supply in the district.
The State Commissioner for Works and Housing, Hon Sadiq Mumuni was
quoted in a chat with the Secretariat of the Ebira Youths Congress to
have made an appeal for patience, stating that the state government has
perfected arrangements to commence works on the Federal roads.
According to the information at our disposal, work will commence by next
week on Federal roads in the district, especially FCE
--Total-Obehira- Ageva.
In his words: "We shall work both day and night to get things fixed in the shortest possible time".
In a related development, the planned meeting between the headquarters
of the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) and Kogi central
people may have the full involvement of the state government as the
Commissioner has intimated both parties to shift the venue fro Okene to
Lokoja, the state capital.
It would be recalled that the people of the district through the Kogi
Central Community Development Association (KCCDA), had sent letter of
complaints to concerned authorities on the poor power supply to the
district despite the increase in power generation.
With the scheduled meeting with AEDC, it is hoped that quality power supply which the district once enjoyed, will be returned.a
